How does Gepro work ?
Gepro opens all it's windows, on the desktop, over the others. This allows you to use as a tool panel in TVPaint Animation.
The main windows handle the projects and allows you to show or hide the other tool windows.
The tool windows will handle informations, data and communicate with TVPaint Animation.
The windows status, positions and sizes will be kept between two sessions.
Gepro will show two icons in the Windows Task bar, it is normal.
In the rest of this guide, "project" will refer to Gepro's project concept. A TVPaint Animation project file will be called "TVPA-Project".

The catégories
The left side of the Files, Brushes and Colors windows contains the Categories lists (Fig.1 BCD). Use the [+] button if you want ta add a new category, a dialog box will appear. In this dialog box, type the name and a marker for the new category. The name will appear in the list. When you will add an object (file, brush or color), you can associate it to a category by typing the corresponding marker to the [Cat.] field of that object.
One object can be in several categories.
The All category will show all the objects. It can't be deleted.
Use the [X] button to delete the selected category.
Tip : use a single letter as marker.
The main window
Gepro's main window (Fig.2) allows you to open and to close the other windows from the first line of buttons.

The button [F] opens the files window.
The button [B] opens the brushes window.
The button [C] opens the colors window.
The button [E] opens the extracts window.
The button [N] opens the notes window.
The button [P] opens the preferences window.
If a window is opened, its corresponding button is down.
Under the first button line, you will find the drop-down list of available projects. Ther is always an opened project in Gepro. The project used by default has its directory in Gepro's main directory. When a new project is opened, all the Gepro's windows are updated. Use the [New] button to create a new project. In the dialog box, you will have to type the project's name, select the data directory or create it, and type a short description. When you create a new project, the data of the previous project are saved. Use the [Rename] button to rename the current project. Use the [Delete] button to remove the current project from the project drop-down list. The project directory is not deleted.
Closing this window will make you quit the program. The datas of the current project are saved.
The files window
This window (Fig. 3) shows a list of .tvp files (TVPA-project) used in your project.

When you open a .tvp file in TVPaint Animation, use the [+] button to add it to the list. The TVPA-project must have been saved before.
In the Info area, you can modify the informations about the file.
The Name is set from the file name and its path. You can change it and make it more explicit. The filename and path used by Gepro is stored in memory.
The Cat. field can be used to group the files in categories. In that case, type an existing category marker.
The Carac. field contains some technical TVPA-project specifications.
The Desc. field allows you to add a short description of that file.
Below, an icon is displayed, if possible. It is a picture of the TVPA-project when it was added to the list.
Use the [X] button to delete the file from the list. The TVPA-project is NOT DELETED of course.
Click on a file name, in the list, to select it. The informations are updated in the Info area.
The [i] button allows you to hide the info area.
If you double-click on a file, in the list, the corresponding TVPA-Project is then loaded in TVPaint Animation.
The .tvp file is not copied to the project directory. Only the file's path is stored in the DefProjet.cfg file saved in the project folder.
The brushes window
This window (Fig.4) allows you to store and list all the brushes you want to use in your project.

After you cut a brush in TVPaint Animation, use the [+] button to add it to the list.
Then, you can modify the informations in the Info area. The informations are basically the same as the ones in the files window (see above).
Use the [X] button to delete the selected brush in the list and the corresponding files in the current project directory.
Click on a brush name, in the list, to select it. The informations are updated in the Info area.
The [i] button allows you to show or hide the info area.
If you double-click on a brush name, in the list, the corresponding brush is then loaded in TVPaint Animation.
The brush and its icon files are stored in the project directory. The other datas are written in the DefProjet.cfg file.
The colors window
This window (Fig.5 and 6) allows you to create and displays a list of colors for your project.

Use the [+] button to add the current A color in TVPaint Animation to the list.
In the Info area, you can modify the informations about the selected color.The informations are basically the same as the ones in the files window (see above).
Two extra fields allows you to set the color itself.
In the first field, you can enter integer values for the red, green and blue color component.
In the second field, you can enter an hexadecimal value, in standard HTML format.
Two buttons allows you to add the standard HTML and SVG color set to the list.
Use the [X] button to delete the selected color from the list.
Click on a color name or icon, in the list, to select it. The informations are updated in the Info area.
The [i] button allows you to show or hide the info area.
If you double-click on a color in the list, it will be selected as A color in TVPaint Animation.
The color informations are stored in the DefProjet.cfg file.
